The K’asho Got’ı̨nę Housing Society (KGHS) was incorporated in 2016 by the Yamoga Land Corporation to address urgent housing challenges in(Fort Good Hope, Northwest Territories. The Land Corporation provided seed funding to help launch KGHS.
Today, KGHS delivers programs that support residents through every stage of housing, from emergency shelter and transitional living to repairs, training, and homeownership. The organization is guided by a vision where every resident has a safe, nurturing home and the skills and confidence to maintain it.
KGHS offers a range of housing and training programs designed to meet community needs, from supportive living and home repairs to skill development and pathways to homeownership. Each program is built on the same foundation: empowerment, stability, and self-sufficiency.
KGHS works toward a future where every resident has a place to call home, one that’s safe, nurturing, and connected to the community.
By 2040, all residents live in safe, nurturing homes, supported by locally led housing programs.
