Rentals, repairs, and ownership.

The K’asho Got’ı̨nę Housing Society (KGHS) was incorporated in 2016 by the Yamoga Land Corporation to address urgent housing challenges in(Fort Good Hope, Northwest Territories. The Land Corporation provided  seed funding to help launch KGHS.

Today, KGHS delivers programs that support residents through every stage of housing, from emergency shelter and transitional living to repairs, training, and homeownership. The organization is guided by a vision where every resident has a safe, nurturing home and the skills and confidence to maintain it.

Explore Our Programs

KGHS offers a range of housing and training programs designed to meet community needs, from supportive living and home repairs to skill development and pathways to homeownership. Each program is built on the same foundation: empowerment, stability, and self-sufficiency.

Kádúyí́le Supportive Living

Our Kádúyí́le Program provides safe, sober, and supportive housing for residents in Fort Good Hope. Through structured living, cultural connection, and personal planning, residents build the skills and confidence they need to live independently and thrive within the community.

Homeownership & Affordable Rentals

Fort Good Hope has a proud tradition of private homeownership. KGHS is building on that strength by creating affordable rental and ownership opportunities, which help families find stable, attainable housing while remaining rooted in their community.

Home Repair & Maintenance

Keeping homes in good condition is vital for safety, comfort, and pride of ownership. KGHS supports homeowners through programs that connect them with skilled labour, building materials, and financial assistance for repairs and preventive maintenance, protecting homes for the future.

Pre-Apprenticeship & Trades Training

KGHS helps residents gain hands-on training, certifications, and mentorship in high-demand construction and maintenance trades. By training locally, we strengthen the community’s workforce, reduce dependency on outside contractors, and create lasting career opportunities for youth and adults alike.

Our Vision for the Future

KGHS works toward a future where every resident has a place to call home, one that’s safe, nurturing, and connected to the community.

By 2040, all residents live in safe, nurturing homes, supported by locally led housing programs.
